I love What "W" has done for the legal profession

Our President, in his staff's ultimate wisdom has decided it's time to make good on the campaign promises (at the contributers' behest? ... NAH) and begin reforms as it relates to the exhorbinant amounts being awarded to ner' do wells across this land by ignorant juries... Well, recent polls show about 25% of the free world even remotely concerned about this plague upon the medical community (w/ a MUCH larger percentage caring about prescription safety and drug costs and Medicare) so it is interesting that a guy who originally made a pretty good living as a Texas politician/oil guy/sports owner who walked in lock step with the strong legal lobbies. Maybe Mr. Cheney was weary of all the legal fees paid out by his cronies at Haliburton and this was an easy way to lash out... But seriously, are Doctors angry (and rightfully so) about malpractice abuses and high insurance fees? Yes. Blame the woes of managed care for chipping away at their hard-earned livings (insurance companies? NAH) and those unscrupulous few who tarnish our profession with their faux advocacy practices. Bottom line: Dumb Executive Branch Slight-Of-Hand Policy, Bad Insurance Policies/Companies, Crooked Legal Hacks...
